What is ED(Erectile Dysfunction)?
ED stands for “Erectile Dysfunction” is and is one type of male sexual dysfunction.
In Japan, an estimated 11.3 million men are thought to have ED, with 1 in 3 men over the age of 40 are affected.

Treatment
Oral Medication (PDE5 Inhibitors)
PDE5 is an enzyme that breaks down cGMP, a signaling molecule involved in the nitric oxide pathway.
This enzyme is mainly found in the corpus cavernosum, the spongy tissue inside the penis.
When a man is sexually stimulated, the level of cGMP increases, causing the blood vessels in the penis to widen. This increases blood flow and leads to an erection.
ED medications work by blocking the action of PDE5.
By inhibiting this enzyme, cGMP is not broken down, making it easier to maintain an erection.

This medication is a generic version of Stendra® (Stendra tablets).
It is a next-generation ED treatment originally developed in Japan by Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation.
(The manufacturing and sales rights were transferred to Vivus Inc. in the United States in 2001.)
Avanafil is known for its rapid onset, strong firmness, fewer side effects, and reduced influence from food and alcohol, making it one of the most effective ED medications available today.
It is recommended for patients who were not satisfied with the results of traditional ED medications or who found other ED drugs difficult to use due to side effects or food interactions.

Avanafil Tablets (Stendra® / Avana)
Avanafil is often considered one of the most advanced ED medications due to its fast-acting properties, strong effectiveness, minimal side effects, and reduced sensitivity to food or alcohol consumption.
We recommend this medication for patients who:
・Have not achieved sufficient results
・Have experienced bothersome side effects
・Found other medications difficult to use due to food timing restrictions
Sildenafil Tablets (Viagra®)
These tablets have a scored line, making them easy to split in half.
The effects begin about one hour after taking the medication when sexual stimulation is present, and they can last for up to four hours.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) blood test
There are mainly three types of ED causes:
psychogenic ED, organic ED, and mixed ED (a combination of psychological and physical factors).
Psychogenic ED refers to erectile dysfunction in which the body has no physical problems.
Tension, anxiety, and stress can interfere with sexual function and make it harder to achieve an erection.
Organic ED is caused by physical conditions.
It can occur when there are problems with the blood vessels or nerves, or when levels of male hormones are reduced.
People with lifestyle-related conditions such as high blood pressure or high cholesterol are more likely to develop ED due to factors such as arteriosclerosis.

1Take a medication only once per day.
Do not take more than one dose within 24 hours.Each medication has specific dosage instructions.
To prevent side effects and health risks, please follow your doctor's instructions when taking this medication. -
2Be careful when driving or using machines after taking the medicine.
Side effects may include dizziness or visual disturbances.
Please use caution while the medication is working (about 4–6 hours). -
3Take the medicine at the right time before sexual activity.
The time it takes for the medication to start working and how long it lasts differ based on the drug type.

4 The medication works only when you have sexual stimulation
This medication does not cause an erection on its own.
It helps support and maintain an erection. -
